CD Design Workshop

22-23 October 2007, Aberdeen College IT Centre

Six budding designers from two Formartine academies, Duncan, Eilidh, Kimberley, Finlay, Nick and Sam - one professional, Lynne Strachan...   

These photos were taken on day one of the workshop when the pupils were sketching out their ideas before scanning them into the computer to create their designs.

DAY 2:

The final designs come together!

Our esteemed chairman, Brian Martin, consults with Duncan and Sam on their design, while Eilidh and Kimberley pose for the press!

Finlay studiously adds his finishing touches to the design for Ellon, while Nick does the front cover.

OLDMELDRUM - designed by Sam Murdoch & Duncan Henderson (Turriff Academy), a riot of abstract colour and design

TURRIFF - designed by Kimberley Smith (Meldrum Academy) and Eilidh MacInnes (Turriff Academy), featuring well-kent images of the Turra Coo and the Deveron Bridge

ELLON - designed by Nick Breed (Meldrum Academy) and Finlay Milne (Turriff Academy), a combination of Nick's photography of Aberdeenshire and Finlay's sketches, observing the eternal fight between man and nature - the mouse and the combine harvester!
