- these are photos which people in Meldrum have kindly donated to the Heritage Society and Evelyn Munro has allowed me to scan them. Please DO NOT copy photos unless you have Evelyn's express permission.  Contact me if you want one of the pictures.

The 'Simple Viewer' is easy to operate, just click the thumbnail image to see the large size image.  You can click on the large-size image and press the 'play' button that appears to watch all the images as a scrolling slideshow.  There is also a zoom facility which appears as a magnifying glass icon when you move your mouse over the large image.

Well done to Melrdum & Bourtie Heritage for a brilliant annual coffee morning - pictures and text to appear soon! I joined them on September 22nd, 2007 for the event where the 1st Daviot & Meldrum Scouts also celebrated their 40th anniversary with the publication of a book featuring photos collected from many ex-Scouts. I spoke to the Scout leaders and Maitland Mackie himself who admits he is still a Scout at heart, and is 'always prepared'!

The Formartine Project already made a foray into Meldrum when we had our training day at the Library. Click here to see coverage of that morning.

Oldmeldrum Sports were immortalised by comedy trio Scotland the What when committee chair 'Sandy Thompson' made the fatal mistake of hiring the Ayatollah Khomeini instead of the Auchterturra Dominie!

Here a tug-of-war team pulls for victory.
